Mitzvah Day Sign Up

Sunday, March 10 from 10 a.m. to noon!
Join our WISE community as we rev up the goodness and contribute to a better world!  One Mitzvah at a time!

Join us in support of organizations that greatly impact our community and Israel. Come learn and do activities together that benefit many organizations, including  Beit Issie Shapiro, Brothers and Sisters for Israel, Wise Readers to Leaders, Maman, and many more. This is an event for the whole family, from the little ones to grandparents.
We need teen volunteers!  Get community service credit!

2024 Mitzvah Day has activities for all ages!

We have great projects and activities for grandparents and grandkids to do together as well as for teens and adults!  We need everyone’s help to make our day a success!
Here are just a few of the activities:

  • Help prepare the 180 new shoes we’ve already purchased (with your donations!) for the children at 93rd Street Elementary school.  Decorate the boxes, insert gift notes, show the kids we care!
  • Incredible projects for Israel:
    • make quilts for displaced families
    • bead bracelets for kibbutz kids
    • Preschool trike-a-thon and obstacle course to support Beit Issie Shapiro
  • Support SOVA by purchasing yummy snacks and coffees
  • Make care packages for locally hospitalized kids and families in need to support Maman
  • Register to participate in upcoming Get Out the Vote campaigns
  • Make hygiene kits for Hope the Mission’s clients (foremorely unhoused)
  • Observe an Exhibition Event with the wheelchair basketball team from the Israel Parasports Center
  • And so much more!!

Can’t be there in person? Donate to support our projects here.

Bring Books to Donate

Purchase new books or bring your kids’ favorite gently used ones for donation to Wise Readers to Leaders. We will be making bookmarks during Mitzvah Day so we can gift them and the books to children in K through 8th. We will have bins during carpool from February 26th to March 8th so you can drop off your donation or you can bring the books on March 10th.

We cant wait to see the power and strength of our community!
