We have entered the holiest day of the Jewish year. This hour together will enhance the meaning of the day. How can we understand and truly experience this as a “day of awe and trembling?” How might we contemplate God sitting on “a throne of judgment?” “On Rosh Hashanah it is written, and on Yom Kippur it is sealed.” Should we take this literally? You may be surprised.
