After more than a decade of shaping the sound of Stephen Wise Temple and Schools, Maestro David Kates is retiring. On April 29, our Shabbat Evening Service in Casden Chapel will honor him and his contributions to our community. The evening will include singers from our High Holy Day master chorale choir, Wise School's Junior Cantors, and a catalogue of Maestro Kates's compositions. Cantor Linda Kates, who began her cantorial career at Wise, will lend her voice to the celebration by joining our clergy on the bimah.
