Wise Readers to Leaders Remote Reading Teen Volunteer Application 2022/23

Thank you for your interest in being a Remote Reader with Wise Readers to Leaders for the 2022-2023 school year!

Remote Reading is a near-peer mentorship program in which high school and college volunteers take 30-45 minutes a week to read with one of our K-8th grade scholars. The mentor and the scholar are both given a copy of an age appropriate book to read together on Zoom each week. The mentor will help with vocabulary, comprehension, and fostering a love of reading in their scholar!

This program runs from September through April, taking off thanksgiving, winter, and spring breaks. Volunteers must be able to consistently volunteer for 30-45 minutes per week for the entire duration of this program. If you were a JLL/LL this summer or have done Remote Reading before, you still need to apply for this school year!
