Thank you for your interest in being a Remote Reader with Wise Readers to Leaders for the 2020-2021 school year!

Remote Reading is a near-peer mentorship program in which teen volunteers take 30 minutes a week to read with one of our K-5 students. The mentor and the student are both given a copy of an age appropriate book to read together on the phone or over Zoom each week. The mentor will help with vocabulary, comprehension, and fostering a love of reading in their partner!

This program runs from September through April, taking off thanksgiving, winter, and spring breaks. Volunteers must be able to consistently volunteer for 30 minutes per week for the entire duration of this program.
